At the annual Scribe Awards, Alice won a Best Novel Scribe Award for Portal Through Time. Other winners included Marv Wolfman, for his novel Superman Returns; Jeff Mariotte for his novels Las Vegas: High Stakes Game and 30 Days of Night: Rumors of the Undead, the latter co-written with Steve Niles; and Christa Faust, for her novel Snakes on a Plane. A time travel adventure set in the world of Buffy The Vampire Slayer, this novel takes place in Roman-occupied Britain, the French Revolution, the American Civil War, and ancient Sumeria. Alice had a fantastic time doing all the historical research, and is very excited for the book's upcoming release.

Portal Through Time

Alice got the green light for another Buffy the Vampire Slayer novel, Portal Through Time. Published by Simon Spotlight Entertainment, this title will be available in Fall 2006.

The premise: A team of vampire assassins travels back in time to murder a series of Slayers, aiming to disrupt the Slayer lineage. In order to stop them, Buffy must pursue them through time. The endeavor quickly proves more challenging than she bargained for. During her search for the assassins, Buffy must navigate through a Roman invasion of a Druidic stronghold; escape across a Civil War Battlefield; confront rioters and Angelus in the French Revolution; and fend off strange, mythological creatures in ancient Sumeria.

Alice Henderson To Appear On Carnival of Wicked Writers Forum

From November 14 - 21, Alice Henderson will appear with John Everson on the Carnival Of Wicked Writers Beauty and the Beast Forum. The two writers will answer writing questions posed to them during the week.

John Everson won the Bram Stoker Award this year for his novel Covenant.
